Question 4 -  Can I use a sheet for a quilt back?
Answer -  No, the thread count in sheets is too high for quilting and it is very hard on the machine. Use the same quality of fabric that you used for the front of your quilt. Think about piecing those large pieces of fabric left over from the quilt top. Just make sure you measure through the center of your quilt in both directions and then add 4 inches to each side of the back. For example, if your quilt top is 60 x 80, your back needs to be 68 x 88. The batting should also be the same size as the back.
